A “trace” is a partial or fragmentary sign that indicates an action that is ongoing. Projected Trace is a synthetic formal grammar. It generates form by claiming geometric characters-circle, square, triangle- and subsequently grouping, lofting, and booleaning them into spatial composites. The resulting form acts as a cultural armature. It exposes activities ongoing and seeks to understand the impact of the public on a private collective. How can the technique of lofting and combining create a hybridized urban form which allows public and private realms to coexist? How can public and private contingencies interdigitate and intensify?
